My wife's Grandfather Marvin Beattie was in the 314th Bombardment Wing
City of FLATBUSH
Also known as "Atomic Tom"
Group 19
Squadron 28
Plane serial # 44-69682

More than 120 Superfortress B29s of 20th Air Force's 314th Bomb Wing were officially named with title beginning "City of ...."
Crew consisted of 11 men

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-29_Superfortress
His plane was a B29 Bomber, the same as the Enola Gray who dropped the bomb on Hiroshima
It had 11 people on board

I have some pictures and will add
