Plane serial # 44-69682

More than 120 Superfortress B29s of 20th Air Force's 314th Bomb Wing were officially named with title beginning "City of ...."
Crew consisted of 11 men

His plane was a B29 Bomber, the same as the Enola Gray who dropped the bomb on Hiroshima
It had 11 people on board

Paul was a U.S. Marine from 1943 to 1946, who fought in the same division, 1st Marine Division (3/7), on Okinawa as Eugene Sledge (3/5), author of With the Old Breed and subject of HBO’s ‘The Pacific’.
